Steel Magic Theatre, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), theatre arts organization, serving the greater Birmingham area and beyond. Our name reflects the strong and resilient nature of steel, the metal that brought Birmingham its early success as the "Pittsburg of the South" and "the Magic City." Home to the Civil Rights movement, Birmingham bears historical significance; but we also house the makings of great art.
We are committed to making art that significantly speaks to this unique part of the world-- to elevate our grasp on theatre so that we realize and prize the art within us all-- Yes, the art that ultimately unites us as fellow human beings.
